Gram is inviting aspiring female gamers to its London HQ on Saturday 20th May, 2017, to partake in a series of workshops, fronted by the Gram team. The event is the newest in a series of activities put on by Gram’s latest initiative, the 22% project.
So, you might be wondering, what is the project? The 22% Project aims to help break down the barriers and biases found in the gaming industry for women. The project was born from IGDA’s annual Developer Satisfaction Survey (2016), which found that despite nearly half of gamers being women (48%), less than one quarter (22%) are gaming professionals.
Covering everything from game development and design, to art, user acquisition, culture, and business, the workshops will help skill up those who want to break into the gaming industry for the first time, as well as those who simply want to further their career. The workshops, in Gram HQ, will all be hosted by members of the Gram Team, leaders in their fields.
Following the workshops, we invite you to attend an insightful roundtable discussion hosted by key industry influencers. Details of these panellists will be announced shortly.
If you’re a woman in the game industry, or are looking to break in, sign up to our free workshop, come along and we hope we can give you the resources and inspiration to help you further your career.
